On January 28, 2008, 2,000 teachers and other educators joined in a wonderful countywide event that focused on collaboration as the key to student success.  We talked about reaching a point where each student enrolled in any school in our community becomes OUR student.

    The schools across Marin County are at different points along the continuum related to Professional Learning Communities (PLC).  We do know that collaboration will enhance student learning.  Given that we are at different levels, our next steps need to reflect that reality.  This means we cannot proceed with a “one-size fits all” plan to reach the ultimate goal of seeing each and every student as OUR student. 

   This special website has been created for you to be able to access resources, view upcoming events and provide comments/suggestions about next steps in planning for Professional Learning Communities.  We also would like any feedback on the Countywide Staff Development Day that just took place.  Suggestions for improvement will be welcome.  The development of this website will be continuous.  Keep the link handy and remember to check it out on a regular basis.
